Novelty consumable - Inflicts the Sparkle Slime debuff for 30 seconds. The latter shoots several crystals, while the former will fly directly towards the player. She summons various NPCs that can quickly overwhelm the player like Heavenly Slimes, Bouncy Slimes, and Crystal Slimes. She will teleport to the player if she cannot see or reach them and jumps around sporadically. The Queen Slime fight is initially very similar to the King Slime. Her two phases are detailed below, so players are aware of her attack style. The Queen Slime can easily overwhelm an under-prepared player with her rapid movement speeds and unpredictability. Her second form is triggered once she reaches half of her health pool. Queen Slime has two phases that players need to consider. Garden Gnomes can also reduce damage taken and increase damage dealt, so they are worth having. As with all boss fights, players should adorn their arena with copious amounts of Campfires and Heart Lanterns for optimal passive health regeneration. Platforms also allow for easier dodging and avoiding attacks. The best way around this is to build a sky arena constructed entirely out of platforms, so her attacks will fall straight through. In both phases, Queen Slime shoots out bouncing projectiles that can prove deadly if they ricochet from physical blocks. The Firecracker Whip has a high DPS if the minion and player attack the same target. However, players should bear in mind that it can be tedious to obtain this weapon from the Dreadnautilus as it is a formidable foe in its own right. Summoner - The Sanguine Staff is the best option for Summoners during this fight, allowing players to consistently barrage the Queen Slime with attacks. The Adamantite Repeater is also a strong early-Hardmode weapon that is easy to make and another viable option. It should be paired with Holy Arrows and the Magic Quiver accessory. Its multiple attacks can wipe out the smaller Slimes while damaging the Queen Slime herself. The Daedalus Stormbow is an excellent weapon for a double whammy. Ranged - Ranged is one of the better melee styles against Queen Slime, as players can try and keep their distance. The Drippler Crippler, dropped from Blood Eels, is an excellent flail for this fight and is a double threat with high damage output and range. These two weapons have a high damage output and range, so melee users don't need to put themselves at risk. Melee - The Amarok or Yelets (if a mechanical boss has been killed) are two strong Yoyo contenders. However, it does have a high mana cost, so players will need plenty of Mana potions if they use this weapon. The Meteor Staff is a great early Hardmode weapon that can be devastating and is easy to craft. The Golden Shower spell tome dishes out plenty of damage and can lower the defense of any enemy it attacks. Magic - Magic users are in luck, with more viable options than any other classes for this fight. The best Wings available at this early stage of Hardmode are the Fin or Fairy Wings, allowing for more mobility and airtime to dodge attacks. Like most Hardmode boss fights in Terraria, Wings are a necessary accessory to dodge the projectiles and other attacks the boss may throw at them. RELATED: Terraria: How To Get The Zenith Sword Queen Slime is immune to Poison and Confused debuffs, so there is no point in using any weapons that inflict these. Titanium armor is also a solid choice due to its base stats and Titanium Barrier passive. Its strength lies with its Rapid Healing set bonus as it increases health regeneration, which will only be increased by Campfires and Heart Lanterns. Palladium armor is recommended, despite its lower overall stats bonuses.
